Hollow Fly (Lightweight)

Designed by Bob Popovics, the hollow fleye, is one of the most castable large profile flies used to imitate large baitfish out there. Hollow flies are popular for a reason, they catch fish. These hollow flies are tied to the best of my ability, honoring the techniques and styles of flies Bob pioneered and created. These flies are tied with the highest quality bucktail and are finished with a reverse bulkhead and real jungle cock eyes. The tailing section features layered thin flat wing saddle feathers and flashabou and the whole fly is layered with angel hair flash. I have tried to keep these flies sparse to make them as easy casting as possible. These flies are tied using Ahrex SA210 Bob Clouser hooks which are great not only for striped bass and other inshore saltwater species, but also pike, musky, freshwater bass and more.
