Hollow Fly (Heavy Duty)

Designed by Bob Popovics, the hollow fleye, is one of the most castable large profile flies used to imitate large baitfish out there. Hollow flies are popular for a reason, they catch fish. These hollow flies are tied to the best of my ability, honoring the techniques and styles of flies Bob pioneered and created. These flies are tied with the highest quality bucktail and are finished with a reverse bulkhead and large tie in tab eyes. The tailing section features premium saddle feathers and flashabou. This hollow fly variant is tied slightly bulkier and with broader feathers than the Lightweight Hollow Fly I offer and is tied on the offshore capable 6/0 Ahrex SA270 Bluewater hook.
