Traditional Beast Fly (Mono Extension)

Bob Popovics famous beast fleye design tied to the best of my ability. This is one of the easiest casting big fly designs out there. My standard version of Bob's beast fly design are tied on 50lbs (.027") mono extensions with sparse hollow ties of hand selected premium bucktail, are tied on Bob's signature SA290 hook by Ahrex, feature 4 thin saddle hackle feathers for the tail, and are finished with real jungle cock feathers for eyes. The 8/0 versions of this fly are 12"-13" long and the 6/0 versions are 10"-11" long. Though this pattern was designed to imitate bunker when fishing for striped bass, it can be used for any other species that like large offerings such as Marlin, Tuna, GT’s Golden Dorado and more. These flies shine when needing to imitate a large wide profiled baitfish is a must.
