Hollow Fly

Designed by Bob Popovics, the hollow fleye, is one of the most castable large profile flies used to imitate large baitfish out there. Hollow flies are popular for a reason, they catch fish. These hollow flies are tied to the best of my ability, honoring the techniques and styles of flies Bob pioneered and created. This is a simple version of a hollow fly that features just premium bucktail, angel hair flash in the tail, and is finished with a reverse bulkhead tie and holographic tab eyes. Available in 6” (5/0) and 4.5” (3/0) sizes and tied on Ahrex SA270 Bluewater hooks, these are not only great for stripers but are a solid general saltwater baitfish pattern for any predator fish that eats other fish.
