Grizzly Mackerel Deciever

This mackerel imitation is tied using the bucktail deciever platform with the addition of layers of grizzly saddle hackle and peacock herl for counter shading. Undoubtedly the most realistic style of mackerel fly out there. My version of this style of mackerel also features keel weight on the bend of the hook to ensure the fly rides true even in the heaviest current or biggest waves and realistic holographic eyes reinforced and encased in resin for the head. These flies are tied using offshore capable Ahrex SA270 Bluewater hooks. The 4/0 size is 6" long, the 5/0 size is 8" long and the 6/0 size is 10" long. These flies are great for striped bass, bluefin tuna, marlin and more!
